Natural weathering and maintenance recommendations

Pre-Finished Decking

A pre-finished timber decking product which is treated and redried for enhanced durability and stability in service. In addition this product is pre-finished using a unique coating system which improves performance and gives the timber an enduring natural appearance.

Main Qualities
  • A new sustainable option to hardwood and an alternative to standard radiata wet decking.
  • Clear grade product which is free of knots and with a new tread profile.
  • Kiln dried to provide more stability, reduce shrinkage or swelling.
  • Treated with new technology treatments which are chrome and arsenic free.
  • Pre-finished with the Verda coating system, which helps to reduce movement and improve colour fastness.
  • Reversible boards: one side smooth, one side grooved.

Finish

Installation

To allow for some movement of the decking boards, it is recommended that boards are spaced a minimum of 6mm apart and 1 to 2 mm for each butt end joint.
For the installation, we recommend the use of high quality stainless steel screws for durability, performance and easy installation.

Maintenance

To maintain your deck, you can use our Superior Timber Coating products.

Durable exterior penetrating wood coating used to protect and colour the timber. Available in 1L and 4L cans.

Available in Honey Gold, Antique Grey and Natural Amber finishes.

Note

As a natural wood product, some colour variation may occur due to the natural aging process of the timber. This evolution does not affect the overall performance and strength of the timber.
